Film school · Lesson 3 of 7

Your first video

From one sentence to a film you can review, without touching a timeline.

The steps

  1. Write the idea. Press New video and write one sentence in Your story. You can also paste a finished script or import your own recording.
  2. Pick a style and a format. Choose a visual style, then a look, 9:16 or 16:9, and a length. The preview shows a frame the style really rendered.
  3. Set voice and direction. Pick the narrator, the pace, the captions and the AI engine. Direction is optional: two sentences about mood and camera are enough.
  4. Create it. Keep Make everything up to the finished scenes ticked and press Create video. Lumen queues the script, voice-over, storyboard and scenes, and shows an estimate for each.
  5. Review and export. The stepper shows each stage. When Scenes is done, watch the film, then press Export video.

Worth knowingInside a script, [Name] gives a line to a character and (beat 2s) adds real silence.
