Lights. Camera. Nobody.

Give Lumen one sentence and it makes the Minecraft explainer: script, voice, block world, captions and music. It runs on your computer, with the Claude or ChatGPT plan you already have.

The whole brief

Why a bank run happens

The script of Why a bank run happens open in the Lumen editor
  1. 01

    Script

Your AI researches the topic, writes every line and files each fact with its source and how sure it is. The word count and timing stay live, and any line is yours to rewrite.

  2. 02

    Voice

Each character gets a voice. Lumen cleans the audio and times every word, so one line can be voiced again without touching the rest.

  3. 03

    Storyboard

Shots are planned against the words. This film has 11, and each one knows its set, its camera and where it starts.

  4. 04

    Scenes

The AI stages every line in the block world and checks its own build: sets, actors, cameras, HUD and captions, 50 words all on time.

  5. 05

    Review

Automated checks measure the film and list what deserves a look. Each note jumps to its moment, and the panel says plainly what it could not check.

  6. 06

    Export

MP4 at 1080p or 4K, a captions file, a thumbnail, title ideas and a description. A 9:16 cut of a wide film comes from the same window.

Every word has a timecode.

This is the real script of the film beside it, on the real word timings. Click any word to jump to it.

Built in
The Minecraft Explained engine ships with Lumen. No mods, no game, no screen recording.
Shots
Set the light, framing, camera angle and each actor's pose, shot by shot.
Cast
Recurring characters keep the same look, film after film.
Code
Every block and character is drawn in code. No game files inside.

Point at it. Say what's wrong.

Click anything in the frame and the AI knows exactly what you mean. Scope a note to one element, one shot or the whole video. Lumen saves a restore point first, shows the shots that changed and keeps an Undo one click away.

Ask
Question the AI about a shot without changing a thing.
Locks
Lock a line, a shot or a voice and every AI run must leave it alone.
Ultra Edit
Send one shot back for a bolder, more detailed pass.

The frame before the note, with the stamp reading WITHDRAWALS HALTED

Questions from the back row.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows PC, plus one AI engine: Claude Code or Codex signed in with your own plan, or an Anthropic or OpenAI API key. For narration, add an ElevenLabs or Fish Audio key, or use a local voice on an NVIDIA GPU. You also need Node.js 20 or later and FFmpeg on the computer.

Does Lumen see my Claude or ChatGPT login?

No. You sign in to the command line tool yourself, in your own terminal. Lumen runs that tool and never touches the password.

How long does a film take?

It depends on the length, the style and the build quality. On the bakery short in the credits above, each agent worked for three to six minutes, side by side. The final render of a 36 second 2D film takes about a minute.

Can it post for me?

Lumen exports the video, captions, thumbnail and text, then opens the upload page. YouTube upload works with your own Google Cloud client. Direct TikTok posting is waiting on the platform's audit.

Can I use my own voice?

Yes, with a local clone or a voice from your own account, as long as you have the right to use that voice.

What if I don't like a shot?

Click it and say what's wrong. Lumen saves a restore point before each AI run, so one Undo brings the old version back.

That's a wrap.
